Support the Use of Concrete Paver Driveways in Our Community
The Issue
We are asking our HOA and Architectural Review Committee to allow homeowners to replace existing concrete driveways with professionally installed concrete pavers, while maintaining the existing driveway footprint, location, and function.
Our HOA guidelines state that homeowners must use the same “materials and style” as originally installed by the builder. However, the guidelines do not specifically prohibit concrete pavers or define “concrete” as requiring a poured, monolithic surface.
Concrete pavers are concrete. They are simply a different method of installing a durable, attractive concrete driveway surface. We are not asking to replace concrete with asphalt, gravel, natural stone, or another unrelated material. We are asking for reasonable recognition that a concrete paver system remains a concrete driveway.
Allowing concrete pavers would give homeowners an attractive, durable option for improving their properties while maintaining the character and standards of our neighborhood.
We respectfully ask our HOA to recognize professionally installed concrete pavers as an acceptable concrete driveway surface and allow homeowners the opportunity to use them, subject to normal ARC review and approval.
If you agree that homeowners should have this option, please sign this petition and show our HOA that our community supports a reasonable and modern interpretation of the existing driveway guidelines.
