Support the Opening of Worcester Cultural Academy Charter Public School

The Issue

We believe that Worcester families and their children deserve the very best in public education. While students make up learning lost during the pandemic, there is urgency to our collective mission to ensure they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in the classroom.

This is the perfect time to offer our community a new option - Worcester Cultural Academy Charter Public School - that will enable our students to become articulate communicators, critical thinkers, and skilled problem solvers who care for themselves, those around them, and their community.

Based on our years of experience successfully operating Old Sturbridge Academy Charter Public School, we want to give Worcester students the same experience of going to a school that partners with arts institutions. Worcester Cultural Academy Charter Public School students will engage in projects at the EcoTarium, Hanover Theatre, Old Sturbridge Village, and Worcester Art Museum, providing an unparalleled school experience for ALL students, regardless of their background or learning ability. Our students will access the collections, experts, and resources of these cultural centers, pushing the boundaries of the four walls of the classroom.

To make this a reality in the 2023-24 school year, we need you to express your support and let the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education know that Worcester students need this new public school option.

The children of Worcester are counting on us to do whatever it takes to provide them with new and innovative high-quality public schools.
