Our vision has always been about much more than simply opening another business. We are fully committed to playing our part in making Wigan an even better place, creating opportunities, supporting our community and giving something back.

Here’s what Momentum Sports Bar plans to bring to Wigan… 👇

🧡 Supporting Wigan Youth Zone
We want to build a partnership with Wigan Youth Zone, offering a safe and welcoming space, along with top-of-the-range equipment, for their children and young people to enjoy. Representatives from Wigan Youth Zone have already visited the venue, and they can’t wait to see it open! 😍

👏🏽 Supporting local charities
We plan to run charity competitions and fundraising events to support The Brick, who do such incredible work for people in our town.

💼 Creating jobs and opportunities
Momentum will create jobs for local people — but we don’t want to stop there! Our full-time and part-time staff will also have opportunities to develop their skills and gain qualifications, including NVQs in areas such as Customer Service and Management & Leadership. 💡

🚸 Introducing Momentum Academy
We are planning a series of children’s clubs offering pool and darts coaching. We want to give young people something positive to get involved in, help them develop confidence and skills, and hopefully inspire the next generation of competitors.

Who knows… could the next Luke Littler be right here in Wigan? 🎯

🤝 Supporting local businesses
We want to work alongside businesses on the estate by holding networking events and creating opportunities for local companies to connect. Workers will also have somewhere to relax and unwind in our chilled lounge area — perfect for escaping the office after a long day! 🏃‍♂️

⚽️🏉 A home for Latics and Warriors supporters
Our fantastic location is within walking distance of The Brick Community Stadium, and we hope to become a hub for supporters of both Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors.

We will proudly support both the men’s and women’s teams and are already planning exciting events and visits.

Keep your eyes peeled for our Latics and Warriors-themed private booths! 🔴🔵

💪🏽 Supporting grassroots sport
We want to sponsor local sports teams and individual players, helping give Wiganers the best possible opportunities to develop, compete and succeed.

🎱🎯 Supporting pool and darts in the local community
We will work closely with local pool and darts leagues and teams to encourage the continued growth and longevity of both sports.

We understand that many local pubs and clubs benefit from the custom brought in by their teams, and we want to help grow participation through promotion, competitions and sponsorship — supporting the wider local sporting community rather than taking away from it.
