For seven years, what is now the Oakbury Haunted House has always taken place in The Farm at Carolina Forest has been a beacon of joy and excitement in our community. It's not just a haunted house; it's an institution that brings our community together and teaches our children valuable lessons about raising money for charity. Every year, local kids volunteer at this event instilling valuable lessons and great excitement. All proceeds from the haunted house are donated to the Rhonda Brown Breast Cancer Foundation, with an equal amount matched by its owners.

However, this tradition is under threat. The Horry County Code Enforcement plans to cut off power to this home during its operation in October - a decision that would affect not only the event but also disrupt life for a family with three children living in that home.

We believe this is unjust and detrimental to both our community spirit and charitable efforts. We're asking you to support us in urging Horry County Code Enforcement to allow Oakbury Haunted House to function without disrupting power supply.
