Support the Matthew Austin Gullo Training Initiative: A Safer, More Compassionate Community for Veterans and All Citizens

Mental health crises are on the rise across the nation, affecting individuals from all walks of life. Veterans, in particular, face unique challenges as they transition to civilian life, often struggling with conditions such as PTSD, depression, and substance use disorders. Tragically, these struggles sometimes lead to crises that result in interactions with law enforcement—encounters that can escalate unnecessarily without proper training and understanding.

The Matthew Austin Gullo Training Initiative: aims to address this pressing issue in the City of Williston by equipping law enforcement officers with the skills and knowledge they need to respond compassionately and effectively to mental health crises. This initiative also seeks to build a bridge between the police, mental health resources, and our community, ensuring no one facing a crisis is left behind.
