Lagos LocaLeague is a new community soccer initiative in Lagos, Nigeria. Our goal is to promote and support local talent, strengthen community spirit, and raise funds to establish a new league made up of 16 teams from our Local Council Development Areas.

We aim to create job opportunities in sports for many people with low formal education, by keeping football accessible to local players, we want to reflect their values and give them a better chance at success through sports, right here in Nigeria.

The Lagos LocaLeague is open to any player (18-26) from any of the local communities—no agents needed! The games will follow a knockout format, making it exciting and inclusive for everyone involved.

​We are disappointed with the low attendance of Nigerian athletes at the recent Olympics, which can be attributed to a lack of awareness and support. Let us work together to create a promising future for our nation's local football players, fostering talent that will both entertain and contribute to the development of our communities. By doing so, we can build a strong foundation for sports in Lagos and inspire the next generation of athletes. Each participant will receive individual payment, thus providing a source of income for our talented citizens.
