Support the independence of Kurdistan

Support the independence of Kurdistan
The Issue
Kurdistan, a region spanning several Middle Eastern countries, is home to approximately 30 million Kurds who have maintained a distinct culture and language for millennia. Despite their rich history, the Kurds remain the largest stateless nation in the world, striving for recognition, justice, and freedom. The struggle for an independent and sovereign Kurdistan is not just about borders; it's about preserving their unique heritage, ensuring human rights, and establishing a peaceful existence among the international community.
Historically, the Treaty of Sèvres in 1920 promised Kurdish self-determination, but this promise was never fulfilled. Instead, the Kurds have faced decades of political repression, cultural assimilation, and economic marginalization across countries like Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria. In recent conflicts, Kurdish forces have been pivotal allies in combating terrorism, showing their commitment to global peace and security.
Establishing an independent Kurdistan would not only recognize the rights and identity of millions of Kurds but also contribute to stability in a volatile region. By supporting Kurdish independence, the international community can acknowledge their sacrifices and contributions to peace efforts, while promoting a future where all people in the Middle East can coexist freely and fairly.
We call upon global leaders and influential organizations, such as the United Nations, to facilitate the peaceful creation of an independent Kurdistan through diplomatic means and negotiations. It's time for the world to stand with the Kurds, recognizing their right to self-determination and supporting their quest for freedom and justice.
Join our movement for an independent Kurdistan, and sign this petition to demand international support for the Kurdish people's right to self-determination.
