The Issue

The Washington, DC metropolitan area is home to world-class talent, iconic locations, universities, government institutions, and a rich cultural history — yet it remains significantly underserved when it comes to major film and television studio infrastructure.

Thousands of filmmakers, actors, crew members, students, and creatives in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) region are forced to leave the area to pursue careers in film and television due to the lack of large-scale studio facilities. This gap limits economic growth, job creation, and the region’s ability to compete with cities like Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles.

LIVV Studios aims to change that!

LIVV Studios is a proposed major film and television studio designed to:

  • Create sustainable jobs for local creatives and crew
  • Attract large-scale film and television productions to the DMV
  • Support independent filmmakers and emerging voices
  • Stimulate local economies through production spending
  • Establish the DC metro area as a serious player in the film and entertainment industry

This petition is a way for community members, creatives, supporters, and industry professionals to publicly show demand for a major studio presence in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

By signing this petition, you are signaling to:

  • Investors and financial partners
  • Public officials and economic development agencies
  • Industry stakeholders

that there is real, measurable interest and support for a studio like LIVV Studios to exist and thrive here.

If you believe the Washington, DC metropolitan area deserves:

  • More creative infrastructure
  • More film and television jobs
  • More opportunities for local talent

Sign this petition and help bring LIVV Studios to life.
