I am a resident of Taunton and I work in Wellington, and I see the need for a safe, secure, and supervised indoor space that everyone can use. Whether it's for skateboarding, working out or simply lounging with friends - this multi-purpose community space is crucial. 

The lack of such facilities in our town has long been an issue. The youth especially are left with limited options for recreational activities. An indoor skatepark would not only provide them with a safe place to practice their sport but also keep them engaged constructively.

Moreover, having workout spaces will promote health and fitness among all age groups in our community. A communal lounge area would foster social interaction among residents and strengthen our sense of community.

According to Sport England's Active Lives Survey 2019/20, only 57% of people in Somerset are physically active (doing at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity per week). This proposed multi-purpose community space could help increase this percentage by providing accessible facilities for various forms of exercise.

This project is not just about building structures; it's about creating opportunities for personal growth and fostering a stronger sense of community here in the Taunton/ Wellington area. We need your support to make this vision come true.
