Support the Code learning platform Exercism so more people can learn to code for free!

The Issue

There is a WONDERFUL computer programming learning platform called Exercism.org that helps people learn to code through exercises, education and FREE mentoring!  They support 67 programming languages!  But to be that great they need funding to keep the platform growing.  This truly is an example of funding that can help the whole world!  

To let you know, this could potentially help ANYONE who has access to the internet improve their lives and the lives of people in their community.  In some cases drastic changes are possible.  I personally know of poor people from Uganda who see learning programming as their BEST CHANCE of escaping LIFE LONG POVERTY.  Please help!

So I am asking the Gates Foundation to financially support Exercism.org as  a way of giving back for all of the generational wealth generated through software, but also to grow generations of new leaders in computer programming.

Ed DrainPetition StarterI'd like for everyone to look back on the history of this nation and on your own personal history. We are only where we are because some people were willing to struggle, endure, and even die, so that we might have more freedom. I look at the war in Afghanistan, and I hear some people ask "why are we there?" To those people I say, do you really want to doom 1/2 a country to a life without the right to learn to read? Don't be fooled -- the Taliban as I write this are probably planning to blow up another girl's school. History will say we didn't care enough to free those girl's minds. It is a gaping wound in our world when we allow forced ignorance to rule. Please don't let it happen!
