SUPPORT THE ARMENIAN POPULATION - END DISPLACEMENT, ACT AGAINST INACTION.

SUPPORT THE ARMENIAN POPULATION - END DISPLACEMENT, ACT AGAINST INACTION.
The issue
I launched this petition to emphasize that we should not let history repeat again.
We must come together to address the severe humanitarian crisis unfolding in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. My goal is to shed light on and immediately halt the ongoing displacement of the Armenian population from their beloved land and draw attention to the nations' inability to act decisively and resolve this urgent issue.
My name is Leon Beuyukian, and I am a second-generation descendant of those Armenian families who had to endure a similar displacement in 1914-1915. My grandparents were forced to leave their town in eastern Turkey and seek refuge in Syria. Despite the challenges they faced, my grandparents remained resilient and instilled in us the values of equality, shaping our worldview.
I demand that the right of the Armenian population to return to their homes and ancestral lands be maintained and respected.
With this petition, I call on the United Nations and its member states' leaders to take swift and meaningful action to address this crisis. It is their moral responsibility to intervene and act as mediators to find a just and lasting solution, to provide support and assistance to Armenian refugees and displaced individuals who were forced to leave their homes in Nagorno-Karabakh.
I advocate for the provision of humanitarian aid, support for resettlement efforts, and ensuring that displaced Armenians have access to essential goods and shelter.
I urge governments to engage diplomatically and work towards a peaceful resolution that respects the rights and aspirations of the Armenian population while ensuring the safety and stability of the region.
By launching this petition, I aim to raise global awareness about the plight of the Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Join me in my commitment to uphold the principles of justice, human rights, and the Armenian people's right to live in peace on their ancestral lands.
