Support the Afghan Adjustment Act
Why this petition matters

The Afghan Adjustment Act was created in 2002 and allows Afghans who worked with the U.S. government to apply for a green card after one year of being in the United States. It also allows their immediate family members to come to the U.S., as well as their family members who are currently in Afghanistan, to come here as well.
However, their families can’t come here until they get their green card which takes up-to a year after filed. Which means they are here for over a year without seeing their families. These men have already been vetted by every government agency and invited to come to America.
Afghans have been working alongside the United States for over 17 years, helping us achieve our goals of peace and stability around the world while also protecting our interests at home through intelligence gathering operations and more dangerous missions like search-and-rescue operations during 9/11, rescuing downed pilots during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), providing security at embassies around the world, training American soldiers on how to speak Pashto or Dari, etc...
When the US pulled out of Afghanistan these men became wanted and hunted by the Taliban as traitors. They helped save American lives by their service. These Afghans should not be punished for wanting a better life for themselves & their families by having them separated from each other! Please sign this petition.
