The Pasifika Community Centre in Palmerston North holds a special place in my heart, and in the hearts of many others within our community. It is a place where our diverse cultures intertwine, creating a vibrant tapestry that represents all of us. This centre is more than just a building; it's where we gather to celebrate, learn, and support each other to grow, thrive and flourish.

However, our beloved centre needs help. We are advocating for a proposed $3.88M investment into its refurbishment and expansion to ensure it can continue serving as an inclusive space for everyone in our community.

Investing in this project will not only preserve this cultural hub but also enhance its capacity to cater to more people and events. According to data from Statistics New Zealand (2018), there has been significant growth in the Pasifika population over recent years which further underscores the need for this investment.

This isn't just about bricks and mortar - it's about investing in people, culture, unity, and future generations of Pasifika people and other surrounding communities who deserve a space that embodies their rich heritage while accommodating their growing needs.
