My personal connection to this cause runs deep. Several years ago, Scotty Deese, a deputy with remarkable dedication, responded to a burglary at my home. That is where our story began. Since then, I've seen him tirelessly organize community events, take the time to personally engage with children and their families, and support his community in countless ways. Scotty has always demonstrated a strong moral compass, unwavering integrity, and a profound love for his country.

Scotty has been an upstanding citizen and a guiding light for those around him. From building programs for children to selflessly feeding the homeless, he lives by example, spreading God's word with kindness and compassion. As someone who has served and fought for our country, Scotty deserves our support, especially in times of need.

However, as fate would have it, Scotty's life took a difficult turn. After a tragic car accident, his trusted service dog was taken, and he found himself dismissed from his job around Christmas time—all while being a devoted father of five.  A series of unfortunate events has led to his current incarceration, despite a life of service and contribution.

Our goal with this petition is to advocate for Scotty's release from incarceration and provide him with the necessary rehabilitation and support network to get back on his feet. Scotty has consistently given back to the community, and it's time we rally around him.

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, rehabilitation programs lower recidivism rates by as much as 30%. We firmly believe Scotty qualifies for such intervention, given his track record and commitment to societal betterment. Thus, we urge the court system to grant him the chance to prove his worthiness beyond the allegation unless proven otherwise.
