Alberta’s Bill 25 is removing the right for schools to display flags other than the Canadian and Alberta flags. which includes displaying Pride flags, even when they are used simply as a symbol of support and inclusion for LGBTQ+ students.

Inclusivity is not political.

A Pride flag does not require students or staff to share a particular political belief, nor does it declare the identity of everyone in the school. It can simply communicate that LGBTQ+ students are welcome, respected, and supported by their school's community.

 A symbol of inclusion should not automatically be treated as political, social, or ideological advocacy simply because LGBTQ+ issues have become politically debated.

Schools should be able to remain neutral while still making it clear that every student belongs.
