📢 Support Our Small Business Directional Sign Program Petition

Many of you know we recently received a notice regarding small yard signs used to help customers find Florida’s Fresh Seafood here in DeBary.

This has started a bigger conversation — not just about our business — but about how we can better support all small businesses in our city.

We are proposing a Small Business Directional Sign Program that would allow limited, regulated signage while still protecting safety and community appearance.

Here’s what we’re asking for:

✔ Temporary weekend directional signs

✔ Must be removed nightly

✔ Maximum of 4 signs per business

✔ Maximum size of 6 square feet

✔ Low-cost permit required

✔ No placement in medians

✔ No placement blocking visibility or traffic safety

This proposal is NOT about cluttering our city.

It’s about giving small, locally owned businesses a fair chance to be seen and survive — especially those without major highway frontage.

Large corporations can afford expensive signage and advertising. Small businesses rely on visibility and word of mouth.

We believe DeBary can maintain its beauty and support local entrepreneurs at the same time.

If you agree that small businesses deserve reasonable, regulated visibility options, please sign our petition located at our store 203 Grande Vista St Debary FL 32713 and share this post.

Let’s work together for smart solutions that help our entire community thrive.
