We, the undersigned registered motor vehicle dealers, are writing this letter to express our support for our colleague, Timothy Saleh at Star Line Sales & Leasing.

Many of us have known and worked with Tim for many years through the Ontario automotive industry. During that time, we have consistently found him to be an honest, respectful, and ethical individual who has conducted business with integrity and professionalism.

He has earned the trust and respect of fellow dealers, customers, and members of our community. Whenever possible, he has been willing to assist others, share his knowledge, and conduct himself in a manner that reflects positively on the motor vehicle industry.

We fully recognize and respect OMVIC’s important responsibility to protect consumers and uphold the standards of the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act. We are not asking OMVIC to disregard its obligations. Rather, we respectfully ask that, in considering this matter, OMVIC also take into account his longstanding reputation, good character, and history of honest business practices.

To the best of our knowledge, the matter before OMVIC does not reflect the person we have known over the years. We believe it was an isolated and unintentional mistake rather than a reflection of dishonesty or a pattern of misconduct.

We respectfully ask OMVIC to consider his many years of ethical conduct, positive contributions to the industry, and the confidence that so many licensed dealers continue to place in him. We hope these factors will be given appropriate weight when determining the outcome of this matter.
