Support of the community for Lavell Thomas being released on parole

The Issue

This petition is open to the communities of Mississippi residents for Lavell Thomas who has been incarcerated for 29 1/2 years. It will be 30 years in June since he was 19 years old. For the crime of homicide against Willie Curt King ...labeled capital murder under Mississippi codes and statues law . He is now eligible for parole and need your help in his release on parole  back to the community by allowing the parole board to see community opposition opportunities  open to anyone  in opposition to his release and let the MDOC parole board know it's feelings about being released into the community. He's a 1st time offender. Has no record or history of violence before or after this  particular offense. Since his incarceration  he has completed several programs including therapy through the MRT P programs and has taken accountability for the crime and taught in programs for other offenders. He has since earned his Barber stylist license and has been offered opportunities by others inside and outside of the community.If you believe that he deserves a second chance please help by signing this petition to inform the Parole board about your feelings of his opportunity to return to the community and his family of Mississippi
