Over the past 4 years Kyle and Alisha King have put together a halloween event that has benefited multiple charities accross Western New york in North Tonawanda Ny. As most of you know they have raised over 25000 dollars for multiple charities and brought many smiles to familys all across WNY. Niagara nightmares was Even awarded Buffalos Best Haunted attraction 2020 by channel 4 news during a very difficult time for our entire community. While everything was being shut down they still did everything they had to keep this a safe fun time for many familys. The King family has a different kind of love for halloween, Kyle grew up doing this stuff as a kid as well as into his teenage years working for a local Well known haunted attraction that was around for decades. Alisha always loved halloween as well enjoying the fall season the most. This haunt has gained attention from every single news channel as well as most papers in our area for the past 3 years. The reason for this petition is because Kyle and Alisha purchased a new home in Sanborn new york back in novemeber of 2021, unfortunatly the Town of Lewiston and ONE neighbor in particular is fighting them to continue this tradition saying that they cannot operate a "COMMERCIAL EVENT" in a residential area. However their new home is on townline road on 15 acres of land with almost 400 ft of frontage. which is accually a very well know Commercial truck route with multiple COMMERCIAL Establishments on this road. When they addressed the town, the town tells them those other commercial establishments had to file a use permit but they no longer offer those permits. (So basically those other establishments are GRANDFATHERED in). This event only runs for 12 to 15 nights a year for 3 hours a night attracting no more then 250 people a night, which is less than 100 cars a night. These Other establishments are aloud to operate 365 days of year with no backlash. To me this seems very unfair and we need to help fight with them and their Attorney to be able to do what they wish on their land which is accually FARM LAND.
