Support Lena's Letter to the President

The Issue

On February 29th, Lena Santana addressed an open letter to President Sarah Willie-LeBreton asking her to address the ongoing genocide in Gaza and join the fight against white supremacy. This letter called out President Willie-LeBreton's complacency in refusing to call the ethnic cleansing of Palestine a genocide and asked her to consider how the language she continues to use to describe the "conflict" aligns her, and by extension Smith College, with an apartheid regime. We ask Smith students and community members to sign this petition to show solidarity with Lena and her message, and to show that she is not the only one that feels disappointed by President Willie-LeBreton's response.
