This petition is deeply personal to me. I grew up without a present father, which led to numerous mental health issues. Seeing Jacob Savage, a dedicated father, struggling to secure equal custody rights for his son resonates with my own experiences and tugs at my heartstrings.

Jacob Savage is not alone in this fight. Many fathers are often denied equal custody rights despite their willingness and ability to provide for their children's needs. According to the U.S Census Bureau, only about 17.51% of custodial parents are fathers (source: U.S Census Bureau). This imbalance in our legal system often leaves children growing up without the necessary influence of their fathers.
