Support Independent Providers' Right to Choose Their Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Technology Vendor

We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with the independent providers of Ohio who serve individuals with developmental disabilities. We believe that independent providers should have the freedom to choose the technology vendor that best suits their needs for collecting and submitting Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) data. The current mandatory technology vendor does not adequately support the operations and needs of these providers and forces independent providers to either use paper documentation or two different systems to be compliant with state requirements, leading to inefficiencies and challenges in delivering quality care.
 
We call on the State of Ohio and its county administrators to amend the existing regulations to allow independent providers to select their preferred EVV technology vendor. This change will empower providers to choose solutions that align with their unique operational requirements, ultimately enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals with developmental disabilities.
