The United States currently has one of the highest incarceration rates in the world, leading to overcrowded prisons where inmates face issues such as higher levels of violence, disruptions in programs and services, and a decline in well-being and mental health. Our goal is to help combat the overcrowding issue many prisons face and instead focus more on incarceration alternatives. These alternatives are known to be more successful and help reduce recidivism which is another issues we hope to combat.
