Born and raised in Illinois, I have been witnessing the gradual decline of our state over the past several decades. It pains me to see our beloved Illinois deteriorating due to policies that  prioritize ideology over the genuine interests of legal residents.

Most concerning is the sanctuary city stance embraced by our current leadership. This policy and the broader priorities seem increasingly disconnected from the voices and the needs of everyday Illinoisans. 

The Illinois Freedom Caucus, representing a swath of concerned citizens and lawmakers, has finally put forth articles of impeachment against Governor J.B. Pritzker. This action stems from a pervasive sentiment that the Governor's policies, including overwhelming tax burdens and sanctuary city statutes, have severely handicapped our state's potential to thrive and betrayed the trust of its people.

Under Governor Pritzker, Illinois has faced numerous challenges, including a significant exodus of residents seeking better opportunities elsewhere. The fiscal irresponsibility has only deepened with a budget that fails to address core concerns like education reform and public safety, while simultaneously fostering an environment that overlooks our state's economic recovery and job creation.

It is imperative that we gather statewide support to bolster the efforts of the Illinois Freedom Caucus. By endorsing this movement, we aren’t just calling for accountability; we are championing a future where the voices of Illinoisans resonate within state governance.
