Hotel Located on Highway 21 Commercial Corridor.

·       The proposed new hotel on Highway 21 will be the same height as the existing Best Western and will have the same address as the existing hotel (13830 Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC), providing NO access to the adjacent neighborhood. Also added an enhanced buffer, reduced the building height, added a masonry wall and 8-foot fence, and planting over hundreds of trees throughout the plan, including more matured grown trees (currently only 12 trees), all at the sole request of the Greenfield neighborhood.  Adapting and updating the plans to best fit the Huntersville community. 

·       The hotel is similarly oriented to the other commercial property along Highway 21, and most importantly, it will not encroach on the neighborhood with any additional access points and will maintain the current community boundary and character.

Downtown Huntersville Growth.

·       This area is evolving and has already seen commercial growth along Highway 21 and Gilead Road that supports the local economy without causing harm to the community's character.

·       Support in the hospitality industry is key to the growth of downtown Huntersville, and this project will assist those new local businesses, families, and civic uses.

·       The hotel’s location and design have been revised through the planning process to meet the intent of the Town's future land use plan to best fit the character of Huntersville.
