We are providing free virtual coding classes and suggesting that the students donate an amount convenient to them to this cause. 

Through our personal experience as students at JP Stevens High School, we can imagine a harsh reality regarding the condition of our local schools in New Jersey whose families cannot afford to fund basic school supplies. As part of our efforts with these free virtual coding classes, we've encouraged participating families to donate to address an often overlooked problem – meeting basic classroom needs of public-school teachers.

Schools often rely on contributions from families, but not all are capable of providing this level of support. This raises a crucial question: how do teachers fulfill their basic classroom needs in such circumstances? This challenge inspired us to look for solutions and led us to DonorsChoose.org, an exceptional website that allows teachers to list their project and its requirements , and also creating an avenue that enables direct donations to those projects. 

This petition serves as a call to action, encouraging you to substitute course fees with donations thereby directly enabling the procurement of essential classroom supplies for teachers in need. It's time we change the narrative around education to ensure that no teacher has to struggle to provide basic needs in their classrooms.
