I am personally affected by the devastating impact of drug addiction. A member of my family suffers from this disease, and I have witnessed first-hand how it disrupts relationships, overall well-being, and careers. No one chooses to use drugs knowing the damage they can cause; there is usually an another issue that we may not be aware of.

Drug addiction is a relapsing disease that causes lasting changes in the brain. It's not just an individual problem; it affects everyone around them - their families, friends, and entire communities. In Ontario alone, thousands are grappling with this issue every day.

The government needs to step up its efforts in providing comprehensive support that includes prevention strategies, effective treatment programs, and ongoing support for those battling drug addiction. We need policies that address the root causes of drug addiction rather than merely dealing with its symptoms.

Addiontionly, I feel that cannabis stores are too welcoming and are this pressure that is everywhere you go. This needs to stop and people need to stop making drug addiction more common by allowing anyone and everyone to purchase such substances.
