The Issue

My name is Pamela Ash  and I am reaching out for your support in a deeply personal matter that has torn my family apart. My son, Daniel McClenny, is a devoted father to my grandson, Ryan McClenny. Since the day Ryan was born, Daniel has been an integral part of his life, nurturing a wonderful relationship that any parent and child would be proud of. Sadly, our family is now caught in a legal battle due to severe bias against fathers in the LeFlore County District Court, located at 100 S. Broadway St., Poteau, Oklahoma 74953.

As a grandmother, it breaks my heart to witness my son, Daniel, unjustly separated from his beloved son, Ryan, by a court system that does not fully recognize the rights of fathers. The case we're embroiled in, Case #CV-2021-195, presided over by Judge Sullivan, presents a gross miscarriage of justice. The mother has employed tactics of parental alienation, attempting to sever the bond between Daniel and Ryan, and has even alienated her own family.

This isn't just a battle for my family; it's a call to action for all fathers who have faced similar discrimination in the courtroom. Statistics show that fathers are awarded custody in only 17% of all cases, despite research demonstrating their critical role in a child's development. These biased judgments harm families and, more importantly, the children who thrive on the love and support of both parents.

Our goal is to advocate for equitable treatment of fathers in custody matters and to urge the LeFlore County District Court to re-evaluate its stance on paternal rights. We are seeking a fair reassessment of our case, but more than that, we want to set a precedent that supports fathers across Oklahoma.

Please sign my petition to bring awareness and change to this issue. Let's not allow another child to be deprived of their father's love due to systemic prejudice. In addition to signing, I encourage you to write to the court and express your support for fathers' rights. Together, we can make a difference and bring Ryan back home to his loving father.

Thank you for your support.
