When Thomas and Alice Patterson owned their historic farm in Bucks County, PA, they took fastidious care of it. The homes and buildings were in excellent repair, lawns and hedges beautifully manicured, and fields were filled with abundant crops. Today, crops are still grown on Patterson Farm, but under the ownership of Lower Makefield Township the buildings suffer peeling paint and deterioration, and the grounds are unkempt.

Patterson Farm Preservation, Inc. has a plan to restore Patterson Farm to its former magnificence and support the continuation of agriculture. But public support is needed for that to happen.

Lower Makefield Township is now formulating a Master Plan for the future of the farm. Patterson Farm Preservation, Inc., our 501(c)3 group, has proposed a plan to create Patterson Agriculture & Heritage Center in the vacant Satterthwaite House on Patterson Farm. With the public's help we will raise funds and provide for perpetual care of our beautiful landmark farm.

In order for restoration to be achieved, public support is needed. Offering your support is as easy as logging onto the Lower Makefield online portal and leaving a comment in support of Patterson Agriculture & Heritage Center. Click here to log in and add your comment from now until Oct 12th when the comment period closes, so please comment TODAY. Patterson Farm is a National Register property, so you need not be a township resident to comment.

Thank you for helping preserve and restore one of the last remaining commercial vegetable farms along I-295 in the Northeast corridor. With your help we will properly steward the farm into the future while honoring the past contributions of Thomas and Alice Patterson.

For preservation,

Donna Doan, Board Member

Patterson Farm Preservation, Inc.
