Dear Friends of Patterson Farm,
We are celebrating a milestone, over 7,500 petition signatures supporting preservation of Patterson FARM in Yardley, Bucks County, PA! We’re making progress! But there is more work to be done. We need YOUR Letters of Support.
A Master Plan is being created for the future of the farm. Instead of exploring fiscally responsible solutions for supporting the continuation of agriculture on Patterson Farm, Lower Makefield Township supervisors spent in excess of $100K to have plans created that include a potential multi-million dollar “repurposing” of the farm structures! THANKFULLY A FINAL DECISION HAS NOT BEEN MADE YET. Time to STOP the madness and wasteful spending. Common sense, affordable repairs will keep Patterson FARM beautiful and viable for agriculture while SAVING taxpayers MILLIONS of dollars. Citizens voted to preserve Patterson Farm. We expect the township to responsibly steward this wonderful agricultural asset.
Our proposal to create Patterson Agriculture and Heritage Center in the vacant historic Satterthwaite House will bring new life to the house and support fundraising for the perpetual preservation of Patterson Farm, now in it’s 340th year in agriculture. Farms benefit everyone!

We’ll present the letters to township decision makers. Please make it clear you DO NOT want a multi-million dollar non-agricultural repurposing plan. You need not be a township resident, as Patterson Farm is a National Register historic site.
We’ve come a long way on the road to farm preservation. We’ve achieved preservation of over 100 acres of Prime Farmland, we’ve gotten Patterson Farm listed on Preservation Pennsylvania’s At-Risk List, but there is more work to do. Farmers Thomas and Alice Patterson, and my father who farmed with them, would be proud of the progress we’ve made. Let’s finish the job.
