Excellent quality food, and local food security, are some of the reasons why we work so hard to raise awareness for meaningful preservation of Patterson Farm. We propose Patterson Agriculture and Heritage Center in historic Satterthwaite House on Patterson Farm to support the continuation of agriculture and to provide educational programming for this and future generations. In order for farms to survive and thrive, community support is key. The public’s advocacy for farm preservation, and patronage of local farm stands is very important in every community.

Patterson Farm, settled 340 years ago, is one of the few remaining commercial vegetable farms that border Interstate 295 along the Northeast corridor. And it is one of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s finest agricultural assets with ‘Soils of Statewide Importance (USDA). We hope you’ll agree it’s worthy of every effort necessary to ensure it survives for many more generations.
