Support Diversity & Inclusion for Healthcare Sharing in New Jersey

Support Diversity & Inclusion for Healthcare Sharing in New Jersey
The Issue
We have a critical and time-sensitive opportunity to engage with elected officials in the New Jersey legislature about creating diversity and inclusion as well as enhance transparency and consumer protection within the healthcare sharing community in the state.
Healthcare sharing is a practice where a community with shared beliefs voluntarily agrees to share the cost of its members' medical expenses. While this practice is not new and is currently active in New Jersey, new non-Christian groups are prohibited from forming a healthcare sharing organization under existing state law.
There are 2 bills in the New Jersey legislature, Assembly Bill 4270 and Senate Bill 3223, which would expand the opportunity for healthcare sharing to become available to all New Jersey residents, regardless of religion, race, or ethnicity. New Jersey should create a diverse and inclusive path for new non-Christian groups like these to organize a healthcare sharing group if they so choose.
The time to act in support of diversity and inclusion, transparency, and much needed consumer protections is NOW!
The New Jersey Assembly and Senate will be hearing these bills as early as June 10, 2024. It is critical that these elected officials hear your voice, so that they will vote on and pass this important legislation.
Approving this legislation will ensure equitable healthcare sharing opportunities for all New Jersey residents.
SIGN THIS PETITION TODAY... Your voice will be heard by members of the New Jersey Legislature in support of diversity and inclusion for healthcare!
