We, the undersigned, are asking for the Support of Coach Bucky Shoemate and his child to the team following the recent incident at the ball field.

Volunteer coaches dedicate countless hours to teaching, mentoring, and supporting our children. No coach, umpire, volunteer, or player should ever be subjected to a parent storming the field or making physical contact during a youth sporting event — especially on multiple occasions.

Youth sports should promote respect, accountability, sportsmanship, and safety for everyone involved. Punishing a volunteer coach and child while overlooking aggressive behavior from a spectator sends the wrong message to players, families, and the community.

We are also requesting the league adopt and enforce:

• A zero-tolerance policy for field storming by spectators or parents

• A zero-tolerance policy for physical contact or intimidation toward coaches, volunteers, umpires, or players

• Clear disciplinary policies and consequences for spectators and parents who violate league conduct rules

• A commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all children and volunteers involved in youth sports

This petition is not about division or drama. It is about fairness, accountability, and protecting the people who volunteer their time to help our children learn and grow through sports.

We respectfully ask league administration to reconsider their decision and allow Coach Bucky Shoemate and his child to return to the team.
