The Issue

We, the students of Castleberry High School and our allies across Tarrant County, are calling for a peaceful walkout on February 13, 2026, to protest the cruel and terrifying actions of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

In Castleberry ISD, over 86% of students are Hispanic/Latino – that’s our classmates, our teachers, our parents, our siblings, and our neighbors. Every day, families live in fear: Will Dad make it home from work? Will Mom get pulled over on the way to the store? Will our cousins disappear after school? Recent ICE raids across Texas – including in Tarrant County and nearby areas – have torn communities apart, detained people with no criminal records, and left children without parents. This isn’t safety; it’s terror. It’s breaking our families and our future.

We refuse to stay silent while our community suffers. On Feb 13 during C-lunch passing period, we will walk out peacefully from Castleberry High School. We will meet in the front parking lot by the flags, then march together along Blackstone Rd, turn right on Roberts Cut Off Rd, continue along River Oaks Blvd, and gather at River Oaks City Hall – the heart of our district – to make our voices heard loud and clear.

This is a short, symbolic, non-disruptive protest. We will stay on sidewalks, chant for dignity and justice, hold signs, and show unity – no blocking traffic, no chaos, just students demanding better for our families.

Why we’re doing this:

• To stand in solidarity with every immigrant family in Tarrant County facing fear and separation.

• To demand ICE stop warrantless raids and family separations in our communities.

• To remind leaders that students have power – we are future voters, leaders, and change-makers.

• To build toward bigger county-wide action and beyond.

We know walkouts can lead to unexcused absences or pushback – but our rights to free speech and peaceful assembly matter more than a mark on a record. We ask Castleberry ISD administration, teachers, parents, and the community to support us, protect us, and recognize this as a moment of courage, not defiance.

Sign this petition to:

• Show support for the Feb 13 walkout.

• Stand with Castleberry Lions and every affected family.

• Help amplify our message – share with friends, family, alumni, and local leaders.
If you’re a student, parent, teacher, or ally – sign, repost, and join us. Our families deserve safety, dignity, and justice. Castleberry stands up – will you?
