The Issue

I am deeply concerned about a situation unfolding at our school. A group of tireless 6th graders have taken to propagating anti-brain rot beliefs, even though our student community has been supportive of brain rot. This misunderstanding of the condition is proving to be disruptive and upsetting for students who support it.

Brain rot, unexpectedly being referred to derogatively, is an important condition for us to fully comprehend and support. Many people already agree that brain rot should be respected and not treated with disdain or ignorance. Unfortunately, this small group of students is creating an environment that breeds unwarranted criticism against brain rot.

Misinformation about this topic can lead to adverse consequences. According to a survey by the American Psychological Association, students exposed to negative information about specific issues are more likely to develop biased attitudes (APA, 2013). Similarly, if unchecked, these slanderous discussions about brain rot risks fostering an environment steeped in hostility and contempt.

We can no longer stay silent and allow valuable debates and discussions to be shadowed by harmful remarks. This petition calls for action from school authorities to help foster accurate knowledge about brain rot and prevent harmful anti-brain rot narratives that could eventually get annoying. We encourage the school to incorporate education about brain rot into our curriculum, fostering openness, acceptance, and understanding among students. Stand against the spread of misinformed anti-brain rot beliefs. Support brain rot. Sign the petition today.
