This petition was created to show community support for Anielka Elieth Benavides Matey during an ongoing immigration matter.

Anielka is married and is currently in the process of pursuing a legal path to remain in the United States through that marriage. However, this process— which involves consular processing—typically takes a significant amount of time to complete.

At the same time, her removal proceedings are moving forward much more quickly than the timeline required for her marriage-based case to be fully processed.

Supporters are respectfully asking that she be given the necessary time for this legal process to move forward, so her case can be considered fairly and without unnecessary hardship or separation from her family.

Anielka is a valued member of her community who has demonstrated good moral character and a sincere commitment to building a stable and positive life in the United States. She has no criminal history and continues to take meaningful steps toward personal growth, including consistently working to improve her English skills and deepen her understanding of life in this country.
