Alaska Rural Health and Education is applying for the Rural Cap Thriving Communities Grant.

Our proposed project is entitled Health, Employment and Education Outreach Project.

During the grant period, Alaska Rural Health and Education will do in-person and virtual outreach to provide rural Alaskans with much needed health, employment and educational resources.

Rural Alaskans who participate in Alaska Rural Health and Education's outreach project will receive a Project Outreach Menu with 60 health, employment and educational resources from which to choose from.  Examples of these resources include purchase of a life jacket, providing smoking cessation app, purchase of smoke detector, purchase of a blood pressure cuff for measuring blood pressure at home, purchase of toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss.
