Like many other street dogs, Orelha navigates the challenges of life without a home, yet he has touched countless hearts with his resilience and spirit. As a passionate lover of street dogs, I have witnessed firsthand the remarkable impact Orelha has made on both locals and visitors, serving as a symbol of strength and love in the canine world.

Street dogs in Brazil face harsh realities daily - from the dangers of traffic and lack of consistent food and shelter to potential abuse. Yet, amidst these challenges, Orelha stands out, inspiring many with his perseverance. To honour him and raise awareness of the plight of street dogs, I am advocating for the erection of a statue in Praia Brava as a tribute to Orelha's enduring spirit.

This statue would serve not only as a commemoration of Orelha’s life and courage but also as a powerful reminder of the many street dogs who need our support. It will raise awareness about the conditions these animals face while encouraging compassion and action from the local community and visitors.
