The reason for this petition is due to the most recent changes in the retail industry which is effecting a lot of small business's. NIKE one of the worlds biggest brands announced its DTC model (direct to consumer) in 2019 and has slowly started sending letters to all its retailers notifying they will no longer supply the brand to them. Limiting it’s supply to retailers, NIKE is pretty much forcing their consumers to either shop online or it’s nearest store location.  

No one is thinking about the children’s shoe industry!

My first pair of sneakers when I started walking was the NIKE PICO a classic all white shoe with a hint of color perfect for starting walkers. My babies first walking sneakers were NIKE as well professionally fitted for my babies wide feet at Sesame Step with a video of my babies taking their first steps.

Providing your young child with the correct pair of shoes takes more than just picking one up from a shelf and trying it on. I don’t want to take my kids to a NIKE Outlet or NIKE Factory Store where the selection and sizes are limited. All this while pushing a stroller and holding on to my toddler. I also don’t want to shop online taking a wild guess at what size my kids are and wondering if the shoe will be comfortable. I wish to continue to shop for my favorite brands while getting the best one to one service that my children and I deserve.
