We, the undersigned, support the creation of a public mural in San Francisco or a nearby Bay Area city to honor Alexei Navalny — a Russian opposition leader, anti-corruption activist, and symbol of peaceful resistance to tyranny.

Navalny dedicated his life to fighting for democracy and human rights in Russia. He paid the ultimate price, dying in prison for his beliefs. Honoring him with a mural in the Bay Area would send a powerful message: that courage and the struggle for freedom are universal values that unite people across the world.

The Bay Area is home to diverse communities that believe in democracy, human rights, and artistic expression. Creating a mural here would be a meaningful act of solidarity with all those who continue to risk their lives fighting for these values.

This mural will also stand as a reminder of the many political prisoners who remain unjustly imprisoned in Russia today.

We call on the City of San Francisco and neighboring Bay Area municipalities to support this project and allow a mural honoring Alexei Navalny to be created in our region.
