Support a BMX & Pump Track for Thursby Village

Help Create a Safe Outdoor Space for Young People in Our Village

Young people in Thursby currently have very limited outdoor recreation facilities. Many local families travel to other towns to use BMX tracks, skate parks, and pump tracks.

We believe our village would benefit from a dedicated community pump track — a safe, fun, and inclusive space for BMX bikes, scooters, skateboards, balance bikes, and mountain bikes.

A pump track would:

- Encourage outdoor activity and fitness

- Provide a positive space for children and teenagers

- Create a safe area away from roads and traffic

- Bring families and the community together

- Give young people something active and healthy to do locally

We are asking the Parish Council and local authority to:

- Explore possible locations within the village

- Investigate funding opportunities and grants

- Consult with residents about creating a pump track facility

Many villages and small towns across the UK have successfully introduced community pump tracks that are heavily used and valued by local residents.

With enough community support, we believe Thursby could do the same.
