Supply Aunt Flow Period Products in All Olmsted Falls City Schools Restrooms

The Issue

I'll never forget the humiliation of bleeding through my pants at school. Or the awkwardness of having to ask the nurse for pads in front of other students, making a personal matter so public.

Our young menstruators deserve to feel safe, comfortable, and dignified during their period. Therefore, I am initiating a petition to have Aunt Flow period products available in all Olmsted Falls City Schools restrooms.

Aunt Flow is dedicated to ensuring everyone has access to period products. Every time a box of their product is purchased, they donate one. By endorsing the use of Aunt Flow products, we'll be supporting needy people beyond our community with toxin-free menstrual products.

Access to these essential products is vital to the health, well-being, and dignity of students, ensuring they can fully participate in their education without interruption or embarrassment due to a lack of necessary supplies.

Currently, menstrual products are available only in the nurse’s office, which can be inconvenient and stigmatizing for students who need them throughout the school day. We believe that menstrual products should be made available in restrooms, where students can access them discreetly and immediately when needed. This simple change would remove barriers, ensuring all students have what they need to manage their menstruation confidently and without delay.

By making menstrual products readily available in restrooms, we can foster a more inclusive, supportive, and equitable environment, where all students have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their socio-economic status or access to products at home.

We urge the school board and administration to prioritize this issue and take immediate action to provide menstrual products in restrooms across Olmsted Falls City Schools.

Thank you for your commitment to the health and well-being of all students in our community.

Please sign this petition and support the call for Aunt Flow period products to be made available in all Olmsted Falls City Schools restrooms. Thank you!
