As stated in the documentary War and Waste, approximately 40% of Australia’s bananas are being wasted, based on their looks. There is a difference between a bruised banana and a banana 0.01 grams heavier than the supermarket standard. Please sign this petition to have Coles and Woolworths supermarkets loosen their standards or agree to donate the ‘imperfect’ bananas to a charity feeding starving children, whose life could be saved.
