Here at Geneseo we are to a very low standard. Power outages, asbestos, and a severe cocaine problem put us on par with other Ivy League schools. Thusly, it is only logical that we charge higher rates to enter the more competitive market of Ivy League. However, for the longest time we have had services and resources dedicated to our students so that they may thrive.

Recently Geneseo students were sent an email stating that rather than being closed for only one semester in order to wrongfully remove tace amounts of asbestos, the library is 'expected to open during the 2024-2025 school year' in order to update and modernize the library. Fortunately, Geneseo literacy will surely drop, ensuring a more docile student body. Though the library resources have been immorally moved to Sturges Hall, quiet study spaces are scarce on campus!

Through the benign dictatorship of our Holy Lady, Denise Battles, we are treated to 4 or 5 more years of decreasing education rates and the potential of the all mighty SUNY system to step in and forcefully sieze our campus. We should be honoured to have such privileges as to increase our tuition in order to decrease our literacy levels to match our Ivy League brethren. We claim to be the "Ivy League of SUNY," yet come no where close to their tuition nor their scandal rates.

I hope, through this petition, we will be able to increase the money flowing to Denise Battles personal coffers! Rejoice my fellow colleagues, we have a chance to make history by willingly funding our great Geneseo Regime. I love Democracy, I love our senate and in the words of Denise Battles... "I am the College Board."
