Upon FDA approval of the Cov-19 vaccine, Suny students have been mandated to take the Cov-19 vaccine or face suspension. Given little to no freedom of choice or flexibility to accomodate all of its student body, Suny Alfred State students have started a petition to speak for the unrepresented voices of the students currently suffering adversity caused by the new heavily enforced vaccination mandate. Many of these students are close to the completion of their respected degrees and have been backed into a corner. Suny has not released any more information on how this new mandate will affect those students aside from just a semesters refund. As proud American scholars, we will use our freedom of speech to show Suny and any other educational entity that our freedom of choice should not be taken away,  that is a true violation of human rights. If we dont stand together for something as simple as basic human rights here and now, it goes to show that we as the student body will openly succumb to any other human rights violations an educational institue may impose in the future. So I ask, if you are a college student or the relative of a college student and someone you know is facing adversity due to the new vaccination mandate share this petition.
