Whereas, the freedom to vote is arguably our country’s most important and hard won right.

Our polling place is the center of our community and within walking distance for many residents.
Many voters would not be able to exercise their right to vote with the elimination of the Gordon Heights Fire Department. However, according to a Report from the New York Senate, New York ranks as 41st in turnout in the nation, and is worst in the Northeast. 

We the undersigned Voters demand that the Gordon Heights Fire
Department located at 23 Hawkins Avenue be the polling place for the voters of the Gordon Heights Community for the upcoming general election and all future elections henceforth.
