Like most other students here at the University of Hartford, Subway is a staple of my nutritional experience here. I'm now a junior here and I couldn't imagine my collegiate experience without Subway. Once a year, around the fall and winter, Subway has a seasonal garlic bread that you can order with any of your sandwiches. It's a delicious combination of bread, garlic, and mozzarella cheese. It is as simple as it is delectable.

However, once the colder months start to pass and the shorts come out of the closet, Subway takes away this amazing bread that adds flavor and layer to an already fulfilling sub. To me, this is absurd for two reasons.

1. Garlic bread is not a seasonal food. For example, pumpkin is a seasonal food. Pumpkin spice latte at Dunkin or Starbucks is a fall drink and should be treated as such. However, garlic bread is not associated with any season and should be available all year long.

2. Subway already has all of the ingredients necessary to make the garlic bread. They have bread, they have garlic, and they have mozzarella all year long. It is not a struggle to just put the ingredients in the front and pop it in the toaster if someone wants it

Overall, Subway garlic bread is an amazing eating experience and should be available to every Subway goer all year long.
