Having owned a dog and been associated with dog lovers for years, we can honestly tell you that dogs—and especially puppies—are highly emotional creatures. They do not deal well with loneliness and continuously changing environments. They also are liable to serious bouts of depression when asked to stay with someone else other than their owner. These bouts of depression can many a time be bad enough to stop them from eating and lead to a rapid deterioration of health.

Given that you are in office at an average of 12 hours a day and often travel out of town, it would be highly unlikely you would be able to provide the time and care that the puppy requires. Additionally, as stated above, it would not be in the best interest of the puppy to be continuously changing hands while you travel. Nobody is doubting your responsibility skills, but at the end of the day a puppy needs a constant home with people to care for it.

We sincerely urge you to reconsider your decision of adopting a pup as your busy schedule will definitely NOT allow you the time to spare that the puppy requires.
