Wellington students are struggling to live. Rental increases are extortionate, paying the highest rates in New Zealand. 
Many students are having to work ridiculous hours to barely get by, which is affecting their grades and quality of life.

Studylink currently pay Wellington students the same accommodation supplement rate as they do Christchurch and Nelson. 
Students in Auckland get more, but rent in Wellington is now more expensive.

We want Studylink to support students to live in Wellington while studying by increasing the accommodation supplement for Wellington Students to better reflect the current rental prices and market.
