Schools everywhere are supporting the "Autism Speaks" programs. This needs to stop. Stop "Lighting it up blue" for an organization that called Autistic people a burden, vegetable, and the R-slur. We need to stop people from supporting this. As an autistic person i need your help to stop people from supporting this terrible organization. A majority of board members in Autism Speaks are not autistic. They use ableist language and symbols. they advocate for "cures" or "treatments" for autism. The organization is not even founded by people with autism. Also a majority of the funds they collect do not go towards the needs of autistic people. In conclusion this organization is spreading more hate for the autistic community and is spreading some very false information. #ActuallyAutistic #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs #SayTheWord
